For 5 years the Women Softball League in Managua has had no activity. In June 2010, W/NP supplied 8 teams from the league with bats, batting helmets, catcher gear and some t-shirts. Donations for the League are still coming with each shipment to Nicaragua.
The Managua league coordinator named the league after W/NP because they considered the donations the main reason they were able to start up the league again.
A special thanks to Colin Hanson for the Edgar Wildcats t-shirt uniforms and his effort to get good sports equipment for the children in Nicaragua.
Another special thanks to Judy Miller and Daniel Leavenworth for sending and sorting the t-shirts, uniforms and sports equipment. And a huge special thanks to all the volunteers from Wisconsin who collect sports equipment for the teams. Thanks to all of you, over 1,500 people have been impacted in Nicaragua.
